Live Concert from Salzburg for free

René Fleming will sing several songs by Richard Strauss and a scene from Arabella. She will be accompanied by the Wiener Philharmoniker conducted by Christian Thielemann, who will then in the second part perform An Alpine Symphony.

The concert will be live broadcast on Medici.tv starting from 9 p.m. (CET), this coming Monday, August 8th. Here is your link.

From the famous Confiserie Fürst in Salzburg [where you can also find the "real" Mozartkugeln -- the blue ones!]

The program of songs includes Befreit, Winterliebe, Traum durch die Dämmerung, and Gesang der Apollopriesterin.

Listen to Wiener Philharmoniker and Christian Thielemann

Wiener Philharmoniker lead by Christian Thielemann will give a series of concerts at Théâtre des Champs Elysées performing a full cycle of Beethoven's symphonies. Good news is that the first two concerts will be live radio broadcast by the Radio France-Musique, while the other two will also be broadcast but with a delay of 2 weeks. More specifically:
  1. Tuesday, November 23: Symphony no.4 and 5 [Live broadcast at 20:00 (cet) on this link - click on "direct"]
  2. Wednesday, November 24: Symphony no.6 and 7 [Live broadcast at 20:00 (cet) on this link]
  3. Saturday, November 27: Symphony no.1, 2, and 3 [broadcast - December 14 at 20:00 (cet) on this link]
  4. Sunday, November 28: Symphony no.8 and 9, with Annette Dasch, Piotr Beczala, Mihoko Fujimura, Robert Holl  [broadcast - December 15 at 20:00 (cet) on this link]

La meglio gioventù

In the last concert of this year's Festival in Lucerne, Gustavo Dudamel will conduct the Wiener Philharmoniker  in a performance of works by Rossini, Orbón, Bernstein and Ravel. Detailed program can be found here, and you [and you, and you, and you, ... ;)] will be able to see it live, thanks to Medici.tv who will broadcast the concert on Saturday, September 18, at 6:30 p.m. (CET)
