Way too many people think that anything done today, regie or not, is simply not as good as it was "back then."<br /><br />I'm a newbie, relatively speaking, to opera. I'm in my late fifties but only started going regularly in the mid-90's. It started with a "Ring" cycle at the Met in 1993. "Die Walkure" was only my second time at the Met and, as it turned out, was Ms. Ludwig's farewell to the house. She sang Fricka and I wish I could go back in time with all the experience I have since acquired and really appreciate her performance.LinGinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05161369969301421756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2949086046279498177.post-6994565496505683482010-11-17T18:01:35.464+01:002010-11-17T18:01:35.464+01:00Here, here! Here, here!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2949086046279498177.post-21483083389764399672010-11-17T16:17:35.559+01:002010-11-17T16:17:35.559+01:00Fantastic! Just when I think she can't give me any more reasons to love her... :)Lucyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02549302523503271428noreply@blogger.com
